Bookkeeping
Books that are actually right, so that everything downstream of them is too.
What this actually is
Good bookkeeping is not about neatness. It is that every decision you make about your business, and every number the ATO sees, comes out of this file. If it is wrong here it is wrong everywhere. Sometimes the answer is that I do it, and sometimes it is that I fix it once and show you how to keep it right.

What you get, specifically.
- Bank reconciliation and transaction coding kept current
- Accounts payable and receivable tracked so you know who owes you what
- A one off clean up and rebuild of a file that has got away from you
- Chart of accounts set up so your reports mean something
- Month end close, if you want numbers you can actually use during the year
- Handover notes if you would rather keep doing it yourself
- Business owners doing books at 9pm who would rather not
- Anyone whose file has drifted and needs a reset
- Businesses about to apply for finance and needing clean numbers
Three steps, and no surprises in any of them.
Have a chat
Ring, email, or fill in the form. Fifteen minutes on the phone is usually enough to work out what you need and whether I am the right fit.
Send me what you have
Even if it is a shoebox and a bank statement. I will tell you what is missing rather than guess at it.
I do the work
I prepare the work and send you a draft to look over. Nothing is lodged until you have seen it and understood it.
What people ask about bookkeeping.
Can you just fix it once and leave me to it?
Absolutely, and often that is the cheaper answer. I will clean it up and write down how to keep it that way.
