Business Tax Returns & Financial Statements
Company, trust, partnership and sole trader returns, with the financial statements to go with them.
What this actually is
This is most of what I do. I take your year of records, whatever state they are in, and turn them into a set of financial statements and a lodged tax return. Then I sit down and tell you what the numbers actually mean for you, which is the part that usually gets skipped.

What you get, specifically.
- Financial statements: profit and loss, balance sheet, and the notes that go with them
- The company, trust, partnership or sole trader return, prepared and lodged
- Reconciling your bookkeeping before anything is lodged, so the numbers hold up
- Division 7A, trust distributions and franking accounts handled as part of the job, not as an extra
- A plain conversation about what the result means and what to expect next year
- Your lodgement dates tracked, so you get the extra time an agent gets you
- Small companies and family trusts across south west Victoria
- Tradies and sole traders who have outgrown doing it themselves
- Farmers and family businesses with a few entities to keep straight
- Anyone who has been handed a set of accounts they did not understand
Three steps, and no surprises in any of them.
Have a chat
Ring, email, or fill in the form. Fifteen minutes on the phone is usually enough to work out what you need and whether I am the right fit.
Send me what you have
Even if it is a shoebox and a bank statement. I will tell you what is missing rather than guess at it.
I do the work
I prepare the work and send you a draft to look over. Nothing is lodged until you have seen it and understood it.
What people ask about business tax returns.
What do you need from me to start?
Your accounting file if you have one, or the bank statements and invoices if you do not. I will send a short list rather than a twelve page checklist, and I will tell you what is missing rather than guessing.
My bookkeeping is a mess. Is that a problem?
No. It is very common and it is part of the job. It might take a bit longer, and I will tell you that up front rather than after.
Do I get to see it before it is lodged?
Always. Nothing goes to the ATO until you have seen the draft and understood it.
Usually needed alongside this.
